As some of you may know, the Scouts BSA (formerly Boy Scouts of America) recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. And as some more of you may know, I work at a summer camp in Pennsylvania.
Making the connection yet?
I, Liam Colligan, along with everyone who has helped contribute something to our music, is employed by the Scouts BSA, and evidently (for the moment), still are. Because a group of us make our music up at camp, if we lose our camp, we lose a piece of our work. I've got a few more songs planned for release from last year to go up before the end of this summer, but our future all depends on what National does to the camp and to our staff.
I've had to see a few perfectly fine camps in our area sold off for funds to get through this multi-billion dollar rut. I guess all I can say is, even if you aren't much of a fan of our work, pray.
You're either losing some time in your day to do it, or an entire good-doing organization that has stretched far beyond America.
Thanks, and have a blessed day.
